The chill in the air couldn't stop a crowd of 5,000-plus from taking to the streets of Chicago Saturday for a rally against the passing of California's Prop. 8 and new anti-gay legislation in Arizona, Arkansas and Florida. Though Chicago was expectedly thrilled by the election of Barack Obama, LGBT's turned out in record numbers to rally in Chicago's Federal Plaza -- songs from the Windy City Gay Men's Chorus to keep their mind off the cold. The crowd marched down Chicago's Michigan Ave., at one point growing so vocal, cops were forced to close the streets. Photos by Joe Koecher.
