I could not love Ashton more!
It is absolutely true, as much as "christians" should be promoting LOVE and committment, it should not matter a HOOT what YOUR religion is....not everyone shares YOUR religion, nor your hate of those who are different. Religion MUST be kept out of government and politics. This whole thing is just insane....the fact that my neighbor gets to decide who I can or cannot marry is INSANE!!!

I appreciate Ashton's support as well as a lot of straight celebrities, but when are we going to humanize this issue by having actual couples on these talking heads shows? Don't we want to show people who are the Joe The Plumbers and the Mary the Teachers of the gay community? People do not truly grasp that real people are being injured by actions like Prop 8. It is when they realize its their neighbor that is affected that they truly grasp the issue and the bad law that it is. Lastly, did anyone think that despite exceptions at what type of clothing you wear (e.g., drag and vestments) being homosexual and religious are two things where looking at a person you could never tell what "team" they are on. They are the two classes that discrimination can only be levied once the individual reveals his/her category.

Ashton Kutcher is definitely an advocate (pardon the expression) for the LGBT community. But, he is not, at least here, "passionate about marriage equality." He is passionate here about a much larger issue: The separation of religion and state. Bans against interracial marriage, against gays and lesbians marrying, against gays and lesbians in the military, on women voting, against women choosing what to do with their reproductive processes, against women's equality in general, against the right of people of color to attend schools and universities and to ride buses and to drink water with others, against young people's right to contraception and sexual education, against the teaching of science (e.g., evolution) -- ALL these bans have been vigorously promoted and defended by devoutly religious people. This is why Ashton Kutcher is "passionate." I couldn't agree with him more.

Wow, who thought I'd ever be so very much in agreement with Ashton Kutcher? I hated "That 70's Show" and I have a Canon, not a Nikon. I'm not even attracted to him! But damn if that doesn't make him kind of sexy.

Way to go Ashton! When you out shopping you need to take note of the people who are standing up for us. One form of protest is as simple as buying a DVD or CD. The best 20$ you can spend. $ is how we need to fight this thing and economic wave of protest and reward.
