Liddy Dole's Antigay Attack Ad Falls Flat

National Public Radio is reporting that Democrat Kay Hagan has beat Republican incumbent Elizabeth Dole in the hard fought U.S. Senate race in North Carolina. Capitalizing on Hagan's opposition to a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage in the state, the Dole camp sent out a mailer claiming that Hagan's agenda, with the help of "liberal judges," will be to advance a "radical homosexual agenda," including same-sex marriage, removing "Under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance, and forcing the Boy Scouts to accept gay and atheist troop leaders. Hagan opposes a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage in North Carolina.
